FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Find the answer to your question

Apply in just three steps:

  1. Click Join the Queue.
  2. Choose the school you want to apply for (Every school has its own queue.) You can place your child in the queue from 1 February the year after they were born.
  3. Fill in the form including your details and those of your child so that we can stay in touch and let you know if a place becomes available.
  4. You will get an e-mail with login details. Make sure to save this, as you will need it later on.

IES Nacka begins the admissions process in January, for the following academic year. The length of the process depends on how quickly we hear back from families who are offered places. We will continually send out offers until all the places are filled.

We only admit a full class (total of 150 students) for year 4. For the older year levels (5-9), we can only offer individual places if a student decides to leave our school (leaving an open slot).

We know that everyone would like to know as fast as possible if they get offered a place, but we cannot answer questions about the likelihood of admission or place in the queue.

You can log in to your application using the login details from your confirmation e-mail. However, some things need to be changed by the school. Write to the school in question (info.nacka@engelska.se) and let us know your queue ID number and the child's name, and the information that you would like to change.

We understand that you would like to know as early as possible whether your child will be offered a place at the school. However, it is difficult to give a precise answer before the school completes the intake process.

We offer places based on the date on which students joined the queue, but also consider whether they will have a sibling in the school at the same time (syskonförtur).

We will give regular updates on the admission process on our website, and we will post the queue dates for the students to be offered placements.
